That’s how many microbes can be found in just one teaspoon of Harvest Quest inoculant (give or take a couple). What organisms comprise this colony, and what do they do? We’re glad you asked!

Harvest Quest inoculants contain an extremely diverse blend of actinobacteria capable of reproducing rapidly either by spore formation or hyphae fragmentation. These microbes produce many enzymes, some of which are highly specific in the reactions or groups of reactions they catalyze. This provides the ability to not only breakdown tough debris like woody stems and bark, but harmful chemical contaminants as well.

Harvest Quest inoculants also contain a broad array of fungi, predominantly eurotiomycetes, which spread and grow vigorously by producing many cells and filaments. They can attack organic residues that are too dry, acidic, or low in nitrogen for bacterial decomposition.
noun
The microbes in the inoculants are only able to degrade dead cells, obtaining their energy by breaking down non-living organic compounds. Therefore, they constitute no risk to human or animal health, and are completely harmless to plants, aquatic life and beneficial soil organisms.
